Santa Cruz Skateboards from Santa Cruz, CA was created in the 1973 by parent company NHS Inc. The company exploded into the industry in the early 1980's. They created a multitude of successful brands such as Slimeballs, Independent, and the Screaming Hand. Its traditional logotype of angular, slanted text in a red circle (shown) is one of the most famous logos of skateboard marketing.
